Effective date: March 17, 2026
Black Out ("the app") is developed by Valters ("we", "us"). This policy describes how the app handles your information.
Black Out does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.
The following data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:
Black Out uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls and ManagedSettings frameworks) to block apps during focus sessions. This access is requested on first launch and can be revoked at any time in Settings. The app uses this API solely as a self-directed focus tool, not for parental controls or monitoring of other users.
The app reads NFC tag identifiers to start and end focus sessions. Tag identifiers are stored locally on your device. No data is written to NFC tags.
Black Out does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs beyond Apple's system frameworks.
Black Out is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
